Justin Bieber Lends Song To Bully Movie

By on April 11, 2012

Justin Bieber has been vocal about his support for the movie Bully and now he has loaned his own song for the TV spots. The new TV spot will feature his song “Born To Be Someone”, which was written by ballad diva Dianne Warren for his hit movie Never Say Never. Justin shared with his fans why he chose to let them use his song, which you will find the TV spot down below with the song. As for what he had to say, here are his exact words about it.

My fans are always for supporting a great cause. It’s one of the things I’m most proud of as an entertainer, I hope they see Bully with their friends and help start the conversation so we can end bullying.

The movie, which was given a rating of R, has now been downgraded as PG-13. This comes after a huge movement by the likes of Victoria Justice, Demi Lovato and Bieber. During the limited release in NYC and LA, it was left unrated as a protest. However, they did lower the rating in time before it does a wider release on April 13th. It will be released into 55 markets outside of the two previous ones.

How do you feel about Justin’s involvement with the movie? I support it and I love that part of him. We need to see more stars joining Justin Bieber in the anti-bully movement, but I won’t deny that this is a great start. With the movie and three vocal stars, it is a great way to bring it back to attention to the issue. It might give them a chance have the conversation to star all over again and this time have it stick. We need to be able to be open about it and that is something we might finally have via this movie.
