Teaser for Stephenie Meyer’s “The Host”

There is a new movie coming out that is based on another Stephenie Meyer novel. The story is called “The Host”. Just like the Twilight series, the story has a supernatural love triangle. “It is a kind of alien love story,” said director, Andrew Niccol. In a world that is filled with war, aliens take over human bodies. Melanie is one of the last surviving humans. Her body is invaded by an alien named Wanderer. Wanderer experiences all of Melanie’s emotions. So when Melanie falls in love with another human survivor, Jared, Wanderer falls in love with Jared also. Stephanie Meyer said, ” I am so excited. I also can’t say how strongly enough, how thrilled I am with our cast.

The cast is with Saoirse Ronan as Melanie Stryder, Diane Kruger as the Seeker, Jake Abel as Ian O’Shea, Wlliam Hurt as Jeb Stryder, Frances Fisher as Maggie Stryder, Max Irons as Jared Howe, Chandler Canterbury as Jamie Stryder, and Boyd Holbrook as Kyle O’Shea. The movie, “The Host” will be released on March 29 2013.

The trailer says the battle for your world has ended, the battle for your future has begun, and you will be one of us. The story seems too fantastic to suspend belief in the possibility of an alien take over of the world.
