Taylor Swift Plays 100th Show In Australia
Taylor Swift is on the last leg of her of her Speak Now Tour with only a few more dates in Australia.
The Mine singer recently played her 100th show of the tour on March 9th at the Burswood Dome in Perth. Taylor is also riding high on the success of her first voice acting gig in Universal Pictures’ latest animation Dr Seuss’ The Lorax. Dr Seuss’ The Lorax takes place in the modern land of Thneedville, where all living trees have been replaced by plastic ones. The story is about a boy, Ted, who goes in search of a tree to help him win the affections of the girl of his dreams, Audrey. While doing so, he learns the story of the Lorax, a grumpy yet charming creature who speaks for the trees. Taylor voices Audrey, whom she thinks is a visionary. “No one else cares about the things she cares about. She is artistic and a daydreamer. Audrey shares the same name as Dr Seuss’ wife, Audrey Stone Dimond, so Swift feels extremely honoured.
Meanwhile, Taylor has racked up the biggest US earnings last year. The Grammy-winning Swift made a cool $35.7 million from all sources of US income, including touring and music sales, according to annual 2011 rankings in industry paper Billboard. What do you think of this? Are you excited for a new album from Taylor?
