David Archuleta Shows Off Sisters In Vlog

David Archuleta wanted to introduce his sisters, Amber and Jazzy before going on his upcoming Mormon mission. So that is exactly what he did. He filmed a vlog with both of them and shared it with his fans. David has expressed his excitement for his mission, but also makes it clear that he will be missing some things while being away. Here is what he shared along with the vlog, which can be found at the bottom of this post.

Introducing you guys to Little Sister 1 and Little Sister 2. Also known as Jazzy and Amber Gonna miss them when I’m gone. My sister Amber feels really embarrassed about how bad she did when I put her on the spot to play, but I am still glad she somewhat played for you guys, haha.

I know that we will miss him, but I have to give him major kudos for doing what he believes in. I know that it cannot be an easy choice to say that you will leave your fame behind for a while, but I do believe that he knows it is the right thing for him. It is nice to see that some plans haven’t changed even if his own life has. I am sure once he comes back he will have plenty to say and vlog about.

How do you feel about this vlog? Does David rely on his family too much? We all know that his parents got a lot of flack from people when he was on American Idol a few seasons back. But I do respect that he is close to them and wants to live up to what they expect. I don’t think many kids do anymore and while he is an adult, it is nice to see that he is trying so hard to finish what they all planned for him since he was born.

Such a great video blog! I love seeing David’s sisters. His sisters are fun. If anyone wants to follow David on Twitter he’s DavidArchie and he occasionally replies to a few fans (at least until he leaves on his 2 year mission, and then we hope either David or his family will occasionally tweet updates on how he’s doing). I’l really miss him. Meanwhile, he has an album of 10 “OPM” (Original Philippines Music) love songs being released Mon Mar 26, 2012 called “Forevermore” (US, Canada and several other countries can buy it at their Amazon or WOWHD sites). The 5-week Philippines mini-series he was leading man in, Nandito Ako, just finished showing – I hope TV5 makes a subtitled DVD set. And since David’s been back he’s been recording and doing a couple of photo shoots – stuff to leave for the fans while he’s away. #DA2014 I’ll Be Here

David lives his life the way he wants it. No one can make him do anything he doesn’t feel is right; not even his parents. They are the ones that call him stubborn, but trustworthy enough to not need a curfew as a kid. Of course he relies on his family, they’re really the only people he can completely trust. That’s a good thing. The problems during Idol were a media creation and David was too shy & young to do anything about it. Once David found his voice, his family stepped back. Remember, he began this crazy journey when he was 16; he is only 21 now. Its amazing he never cracked under the pressure of the media and naysayers.

I’m proud of the young man David is becoming. The experiences he has/will go through only makes him stronger for when he returns to music. God speed David. You will be missed, but this is your time now. Enjoy every second of it. #DA2014

David is a great example for everyone. He does what he knows is right. I don’t think he relies on his family too much. I think he treasures his family relationships and does his best to take care of those relationships. He is not trying to live up to what THEY expect and planned for him, but what HE expects and has planned for himself.
