The Hunger Games Soundtrack Release Date Is Set

The Hunger Games

Finally, the news about The Hunger Games soundtrack has been released! It is slated for March 20th release, 3 days ahead of the actual movie release. The Civil Wars will have at least 2 songs; Taylor Swift, Arcade Fire, the Decemberist and Miranda Lambert have all been confirmed. The track list has yet to come out, but we do know that “Safe & Sound” will be on it. Beyond that, we do not know what or if any of the songs off the soundtrack will even make it on the movie. It seems unlikely beyond the ending credits most like. They have confirmed that a score is being written for the actual movie.

This is good news for those dying for the soundtrack. I assumed it would be released closely to the date. I do wonder how well the sales will be? I assume that a lot of fans will be buying it up, but I am curious as to how it will reflect on the actual movie. I would love to know if any songs will actually be involved? That question seems to be on all of our minds, and it makes sense. It would seem like with how popular “Safe & Sound” is that they would want to include it.

How do you feel about this news? Are you eager for the track list to be unveiled? I am, just because I do think that it has a lot of promise. With a movie this big, you know that they must be banking a lot on the soundtrack. It is a big deal for the singers, movie and studio. So I am hoping that it does do well and that they promote it. It seems like they could do a whole lot with it, if they play their cards right that is.

The songs are very good, so far. In fact, I listen to Taylor Swift’s Safe and Sound almost everyday.
