Paula Abdul Not Taking Exit From X-Factor Personally

It looks like just after one season there has already been a huge shake-up on Fox’s US Version of the X-Factor.  Paula Abdul has been ousted from the show with a statement exclaiming that “I’ve learned through my longevity in this industry that business decisions often times override personal considerations.”

Paula said that she wasn’t taking her ousting personally and that her and fellow friend and judge Simon Cowell and show co-producer Fremantle have been communicating about this decision for a while.  While there have been no revelations on the complete fallout, one can only guess that the reference to ‘personal consideration’ is in regards to Adbul’s long ties with Simon Cowell.  It was even Cowell who has persuaded Paula to return with him to the judging panel after her departure from American Idol.  After all Cowell and Abdul were the original judges on American Idol alongside Randy Jackson who has remained on the show.

Cowell followed Abdul ‘s statement with one of his own in which he thanked her for her contribution as well as thanking judges Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones who were also ousted on Monday.  He will now need to reconfigure his show without half the judges and host.  What do you think the nex season of X Factor will bring?
