Is Wizards of Waverly Place Movie Sequel Back On? Would Selena Gomez sign on?

Now that Wizards of Waverly Place has ended, many fans are feeling sad with no hope of anything new. However, we all have been given a glimmer of hope. Maria Canals-Barrera has hinted that the sequel movie might get a green light once more. Last year Disney confirmed that a sequel was to happen, which was canceled for no reason given. As for her comments on the possible sequel, here is what she had to say.

I would love for there to be another film, and I know there’s a script that is ready to go, But I think it depends on the availability and desire of some of the other cast members.

Some people think she is referring to Selena Gomez’s availability, but we have no proof either way. I would love to see that the sequel getting the green light again, but I am not sure if Selena is ready to revisit her old role. She seems to have moved on nicely and I would hate to see all that go. But as a fan of her old show, I do feel like it never got the originally planned end that they had.

Are you hoping that they make the movie? I know that I do and I am sure many of their other fans want that as well. Disney has been very indecisive when it comes the show. I am not sure why they have been that way, especially when the show has done so well. You would think that they would take better care of it, but they don’t. I suppose only time will really tell us if they do or do not.
