Is Harry Potter Heading To California Next?
It looks like Harry Potter is coming to California. Recently, in a press conference that took place at Universal Hollywood, it was announced that the resort would be the next to get the Harry Potter treatment. The theme park is said to be similar to the original and that it won’t open until 2015.
The park, called The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, will be built in an existing area of the park. Fans will see the famous Hogwarts Castle and the parks signature ride, The Forbidden Journey.
When the original Harry Potter park was opened in 2010 at the Universal Orlando resort it helped increase attendance by 36%.
The addition is definitely good news for California as it will be sure to bring in more tourism and revenue for the area.
Another Harry Potter park sounds like a good idea but I’m surprised that they didn’t do this earlier. Wouldn’t they have built the park for California first or at least that’s what I would imagine they would do. I can see why they would want to make this park similar to the first because it was so successful but I wonder why they are not adding a few different attractions to make it more unique?
I am happy that they are building a Harry Potter theme park for west coast fans. Now they won’t have to travel across the country to “meet’ their favorite wizard and his friends. I’ve always wanted to go to the Wizarding World Park in Orlando. Maybe one day I will. Are you looking forward to the future opening of this park?

Disney was out of the question almost ten years ago. Universal has an exclusive contract with Warner Brothers and JK Rowling for theme park content. This means, you will only see Harry Potter in Universal parks. If you want more information, I have it…I can tell you so much more than you have
