Hailee Steinfeld to Join Cast of Can a Song Save Your Life?

Looks like Hailee Steinfeld has a few projects to tackle coming up and it looks like the actress has another slated for her schedule.

Right now the 14 year old actress is in final negotiations to play Mark Ruffalo’s daughter in Can a Song Save Your Life?  The movie itself is musical-themed and follows Gretta played by Scarlett Johansson who moves with her long-time boyfriend to New York so they can pursue their passion for music.  Gretta though is quickly heartbroken when her boyfriend dumps her for the fame and fortune of a big solo contract leaving her behind.  All though is not so bad for Gretta when her luck turns for the better when a down on luck record producer played by Mark Ruffalo who stumbles upon her singing talent in a local bar and is captivated by her raw talent.  They may prove to be each other’s last chance at success and turning their lives around.

Hailee is best known for her role in the 2010 film True Grit playing Mattie Ross.  The role landed the actress a nomination for an Academy Award for her Best Supporting Actress and a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.  Currently, Hailee is filming Romeo & Juliet with Douglas Booth.  What do you think of this?
