Former Nirvana Bass Player Talks About Miley Cyrus

Last year Miley Cyrus covered grunge classic, “Smells Like Teen Spirit”. Since the band hasn’t been around since the mid 90s, they haven’t spoken much. But recently a fan asked their bassist Kris Novoslic for his opinion on the cover. What he said may surprise some, while others will be pleased with what he had to say. Here is what he stated about Mile’s cover.

I think that it is nice that he approves, but his tweet seems to be lackluster. However, I do think we should go by with what he says about his feelings. I personally would love to hear what Kurt Cobain’s widow; Courtney Love would have to say or his daughter. Those opinions could be very interesting to hear when you compare them to someone who hasn’t spoken much for the band. However, the tweet should satisfy Miley and her fans.

Do you agree with him or not? I think that she did a decent job, but it could never compare to the real deal. Nirvana was one of those bands that cannot ever be copied to the “T”. So it is a good honor for her to have, but at the same time, not much can really be said since the lead singer has been long gone for a good while now, which in fact, is going on to 20 years now.
