Disney Sets March 3rd As Platypus Day + Music Video Teaser

Disney has created a fun holiday based on everyone’s favorite platypus! Phineas and Ferb‘s secret agent, Perry the Platypus is having his very own holiday on March 3rd. They launched a song called “Platypus Walk”, which will have their very own music video for featuring the stars of Jessie, Good Luck Charlie, Just Kickin It, Austin & Ally and Shake It Up. The song premiered on Radio Disney on Feb 8th, with a trailer for the music video being released as well. You will find the clip in the video down below. Beyond the song and music video, both Disney Channel Disney XD will host marathons of the show. Disney XD’s will last 12 hours long, while Disney Channel’s will last 11 hours. Disney Stores will also celebrate with Perry themed events. You will catch a sample of the song and music video down below.

I don’t know about you, but I love the series. I am glad to see that a lot of people love Perry. I really feel like that he is the star of the show. He always steals the scene and that makes me so happy. Without Perry, a big portion of the show would be missing. So to see that they want to celebrate the lovable teal platypus makes me fell all warm and fuzzy.

Do you think Perry deserves his own holiday? I do, even if it is a strange concept. I never heard of a cartoon-based holiday, but what is better than to start with Perry? He plays a very important role and I think we can all agree that we enjoy seeing him bust evil plans. The world without him would be boring, so it is about time that is honored!
