Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has released her song for the The Hunger Games called “Safe & Sound” with the Civil Wars, but it was never performed live before. Now both acts can cross that off their lists. Taylor joined them on stage for the first time ever to sing the song that seems to have launched a life of its own. While the most songs from soundtracks don’t get played on stage very often, it looks like Taylor wants to keep this song up in the air. You will find the video of their performance down below.

I am glad to see that she takes this single as serious as she has with her normal ones. However, I do want to add that I never pegged her as a type of person to work with The Hunger Games. It sort of surprised me to hear that she has recorded a song for it. She seems to be much more into love songs and those don’t sound like they go well with the movie. But she certainly can surprise you and I cannot wait for when she does release a new album. I have a feeling it won’t be what we expect out of her.

How do you feel about the performance? I found it to be nice, but it wasn‘t my favorite. However, I did say it above that it is nice to see this song get the same level of respect from Taylor. I do wonder how big it will become (the song, that is)? It juts seems that this song has already become the new replacement for Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” level of fame. I know that it is still on the early side to say it, but it appears that it could be legendary for Taylor and the movie both.

    I absolutely love the song.

I was actually really impressed with how wonderful Taylor sounded. The harmonies were stunning. The only real issue I had with the performance was the other woman (sorry I’m not sure of her name). Her movements were awkward and the way she stared and touched Taylor, who hardly looked at her was just odd.
