Rumor: Taylor Swift Offered Role in Les Miserables

Taylor Swift

A month or 2 ago we brought you the news that Taylor Swift was being considered for the role of Eponine in Les Miserables. She was being considered along with a few other actresses, but is now rumored to have been offered the role. No word yet if it is even true or what her response has been. This would be her first big role. The movie is expected to come out later this year (December 2012) and will also star Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried.

This is good news for her. We all know that she wanted to spread her wings a bit and this movie could do it for her, along with the fact that she wishes to take her time with her next album. However, I can understand how she might not want to sign on with just any movie. While this won’t be typical, I am not sure if a musical is what she wants when she wants a break from making albums?

How do you feel about her being offered the role? Some have said that they don’t think she fits the role. But clearly, the studio must or else they would have not asked her. It is not like that, they do not have big names already attached, so I have to believe she was picked based on her skill. I personally cannot wait to see what Taylor picks. I am okay with either choice and I think she needs to pick what is best for her at this point. So lets all offer her our support no matter what.
