NBC Has Already Sold Out Of Super Bowl Advertisement Spots

Super Bowl is the prime time for advertisers to claim their spots and to send their messages out. This year, NBC has sold out all their advertising spots for this year’s big Super Bowl game.

Even though there are still some spots for pre-game shows, the last time slot for the actual game was snatched up in late November. This is comparable to last’s years advertisement slot sales which were filled up by October. The names of this year’s advertisers have not been named yet, but Seth Winter(senior vice president of sales and marketing for NBC Sports) said this, “‘There are the usual companies that have supported it in the past. Automotive will be very healthy. Beverages will be very healthy. The movie and snack category continue to be healthy. There will be a few new players and some who have been there, who won’t be there.”. All of the advertisements must satisfy the standards of the National Football League(NFL) and the television network.

I have heard that some people watch the Super Bowl expressly for the special commercials that are shown during the Super Bowl. Some of these commercials are supposed to be the best in advertising, especially in creativity. With all of this ad talk, it might be easy to forget the purpose of the Super Bowl. This year’s game will be in Indianapolis on February 5th on NBC.
