Miley Cyrus‘ latest charity project let’s her utilize her talent to the fullest. She released a remake for “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go” for the Chimes of Freedom:Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International. This charity compilation features artists and bands from all musical genres in order to raise money for the international charity program Amnesty International.

Cyrus teamed up guitarist Johnzo West to give her modern spin on this classic song. The album is now available for purchase in stores and online. If you want to hear her song right now, you can check out the official music video below.

I like Miley Cyrus’ version of “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go”. It’s got that folksy flavor you’d expect but it still maintained a modern sound. You could feel the soul of this song. This song also showed Miley’s musical range and she could probably sing almost any genre she wants. I hope that Miley takes a different route with her next album, whenever that may be, and tries a different avenue or two. Maybe she could try adding a few modern folk songs or country tracks to the mix. I think and hope that she takes a chance as an artist. She might even surprise herself!
