Miley Cyrus & Shakira To Release Duet for Charity

Miley Cyrus has joined the Latin pop diva Shakira in a duet for a charity to raise money for kids with heart disease. The song is called “Love & Rock”, which they will debut together at a charity gala on February 14th. This will be Miley’s newest release since 2010. No word on if this is a sign of a musical comeback for the 19-year-old. Miley has kept a low profile since last year after her show ended. Despite doing a small international tour, not much has been heard from her musically. This could be a sign of her becoming ready for a musical comeback at last.

I am not sure how their voices will mesh, so I am a tad concerned on how it turns out. However, with that being said I do think it could become a big hit. Both of them have strong appeal and massive fan bases. Yet they could also help shape each other into even better singers. So I can only see good coming out of this duet, even if it will be a different. In the mean time, we can prepare ourselves for their big single next month.

How do you feel about their upcoming single? I love that it was done for charity. And I do think that it will go smoothly over the radio and sales. But I am curious as to why Miley would want to step away from her edgy rocker style that she has worked so hard for? Shakira won’t help her image of that. I suppose it could be a sign of her growing up, but I think we will need to see other signs before we decide if that’s the case.
