Lea Michele Takes To Twitter About Horse-Drawn Carriages

By on January 5, 2012

Lea Michele from Glee is getting a little more vocal about banning horse-drawn carriages in New York City and it looks like she is getting more serious about the cause.

Last year Lea had teamed up with PETA to star in an ad campaign calling for the boycott of the city’s horse-drawn carriages.  In the ad she cited neglect and harsh conditions as to why the Central Park feature should be banned.  Lea went to Twitter saying that she loved the city but wasn’t sure if she could handle seeing another horse and carriage struggle in this winter weather.  She also followed up the Twitter message by writing mayor Mike Bloomberg writing “@MikeBloomberg please listen to the thousands of people who are saying that they no longer want horse & carriage rides in this city.”

Lea also took to Twitter and implored her fans to send nice and supportive messages to mayor Mike Bloomberg if they supported this cause and wanted to see horse drawn carriages gone from Central Park to raise their voices.  What do you think of Lea’s Twitter campaign?  Do you agree that horse drawn carriages should be banned from Central Park?
