Lady Gaga to Launch Born This Way Foundation
Lady Gaga is looking to start her own foundation Born This Way with her mother and co-founder Cynthia Germanotta at Harvard University next month.
A party will be held at the Sanders Theatre on February 29th to celebrate the kick-off the organization and is created to promote youth empowerment and equality by encouraging self-confidence and bringing bullying to the end. Gaga’s mother mentioned to MTV that her daughter’s foundation “has been born out of her passion to create a better world where people are kinder and nicer to one another and are accepted for who they are, regardless of how different they may be.” Her mother also opened up and said that Gaga has experienced several of the struggles that our youth have encountered today and identifies with the lasting effects that a person can carry with them without the proper support.
Together the two of them will working on a foundation to create a new movement that will engage and empower youth and accept them as a valuable members of our society. The pop star has been a major supporter of anti-bullying legislation, and has been recognized by DoSomething.org, the GLAAD Media Awards, the Trevor Project and more for her work on behalf of gay rights causes. I truly think that she is doing a wonderful job of forming this foundation to help our on going problem we face in everyday life.. I will be happy to donate my part and I hope others do the same for our youth.. I see this foundation in a couple of years a full of success and glory. I was born this way and proud of it and when you have learn to accept that in life you can do and be anything.
