Korra Kicks Butt In Legend of Korra

The next Avatar: The Legend of Korra has teased the opening credits and the trailer now there is an opening sequence in which the series protagonist beats up some goons below.

Avatar: The Legend Of Korra is an upcoming American television series set in the Avatar universe as a spin-off to Avatar: The Last Airbender.  The show is set to debut sometime on Nickelodeon in 2012 but there is no definitive due date.  The series is currently under production and is expected to run for two seasons with a total of twenty-six episodes with the potentially of more episodes.  Co-creators of the original series  Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko will personally be writing all the episodes to allow for a tighter storyline.  Legend of Korra will take place 70 years after the end of Avatar: The Last Airbender story arc with a new cast of characters and settings.  Korra the protagonist is the Avatar after Aang is a hot headed and rebellious young woman from the Southern Water Tribe ready to take on the world.

Legend of Korra will follow Korra as she faces an anti-bender revolt while mastering the art of airbending from Aang and Katara’s son, Tenzin.  Will you be checking out the new series when it comes out?
