Katy Perry Out, Demi Lovato In For 2012 People’s Choice Awards

Demi Lovato has a big night ahead of her at the People’s Choice Awards. Not only is she booked to perform, but she is also up for the “Favorite Pop Artists”. Plenty of other celebrities will be there, but one will not be. Katy Perry, who is breaking up with her husband; has tweeted that she won’t be attending the event; here is her tweet about not showing up for the Jan 11th show.

This would be the first appearance that she would make after breaking up with Russell Brand. However, we can all understand as to why she would not want to attend. On the flip side, she is still nominated. Now, as for Demi, this will be a continuation of the luck that she had last year about winning awards. But it would also kick off this years early awards and hopefully will be the first of many to come for the ex-Disney starlet.

Do you hope Demi wins? Or do you Katy needs it to lift her spirits? I am sad for Katy, but thrilled for Demi. You usually see the good and bad paired anyways, so we should get used to it. Either way I am a fan of both and I would love to see both win the Favorite Pop Artists. But we sadly cannot, so just as long one of them wins it I will be okay.
