Ian Somerhalder & Nina Dobrev in The Vampire Diaries Bringing out the Dead Stills

CW has released a new batch of photos for The Vampire Diaries. The stills come ahead of the February 2 episode called “Bringing Out the Dead”. This episode sounds as if it will be a key episode for this season. It could also lead to the end of the Klaus arc that started late last season. A FAMILY DINNER — Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) delivers some disturbing news to Alaric (Matt Davis) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) about the weapon used in a recent murder. In the Salvatore brothers’ escalating quest to kill Klaus (Jospeh Morgan), Stefan (Paul Wesley) turns to Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Abby (guest star Persia White), while Damon (Ian Somerhalder) reaches out to an old acquaintance for help in setting up an elaborate plan. Intent on a plan of his own, Klaus hosts a strange dinner party, where he reveals another story from his family’s violent past until an unexpected guest brings the party to an end. Meanwhile, Caroline (Candice Accola) is heartbroken when she is unable to stop a tragedy from unfolding. Zach Roerig also stars. Jeffrey Hunt directed the episode written by Turi Meyer & Al Septien (#313).

Not bad for concept for the episode that clearly is leading up to the season finale. I have a feeling that we will be seeing a lot more action from the series as we approach the end of the season. It should be one of their most exciting ones of this season for sure. I hope that this episode has a big boost in ratings, just because I think that this will be the biggest story of the season.

Are you excited to see this episode? I am and I am not even really a fan of the show. But the concept has picked up my interest. In fact, dare I say that they might even be growing on me. Who knows, but I do think that they are decent enough to grow and keep becoming better with time.
