Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Was A Success This Year

For the last forty years, families have been tuning to the annual Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. This show is as essential to New Year’s Eve as pumpkin pie is to Thanksgiving. And this year’s special reached it’s highest rating from the last eleven years.

This year’s show was co-hosted by Ryan Seacrest, Fergie(from Black Eyed Peas, and Jenny McCarthy). According to TV Guide, the show averaged 9.8 viewers within five and half hours-leading the other major networks.

Did you watch Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve? Did you like the show? A long time ago, I enjoyed watching these types of shows but these days it seems more hype than anything else but I think that I might get more excited if I was to watch this special show live. Watching concerts and live shows on television just isn’t the same as it is when you’re actually there to witness the action. I think that it probably would have something to do with the excitement an energy that surrounds the whole event. That said, I am happy to know that Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve is still a big hit. And maybe next year I will check it out on tv again!
