Debby Ryan’s Jessie – Are You Cooler Than A 5th Grader Review

Jessie‘s latest episode is called “Are You Cooler Than A 5th Grader” and it brought us a change of pace. The main focus was on the 2 boys, with Ravi finally joins his older siblings school. But with his very unique personality does not bode well with Luke. Despite that, Jessie has asked him to be kind; Luke does not want to be known as related to Ravi. All awhile, Jessie has to deal with Emma and her love for heels. She is still too young and she does not know how to walk in them. So Jessie asks her to stop wearing them, but we all know that Emma has her own mind made up. On top of that, Jessie helps Zuri raise money for a doll. Can she keep all the balls in the air and can Ravi become friends with Luke like he wants?

I was pleased to see the change of pace that they took. It helped keep the show fresh and while the show is called after Debby Ryan’s character, they prove that it has a lot more to it than just the star. Which I believe that helps make the show stronger. I also love how they make Ravi different. With his love for his lizard (Mr. Kipling) and his love for India. However, I will say that they sort of make him seem a little obsessed with these things and I doubt most kids from there are. Despite all that, I like the fact that they keep the kids an important part just proves that the writers want to appeal to all ages. As an example, when Zuri wanted to sell lemonade and landlady did not want her to do it. Zuri appeals to kids and the landlady appeals to those who do not like kids. They also add humor to keep things light and airy.

What do you think about this t episode? Are you glad that they make rest of the cast just as important as the others? I do, it helps add more to the series and give a wide array of possible story lines. This episode proves that they do think outside of the box and want to impress whole families-not just tweens. Once again, this episode was perfect for all ages. It seems like the writers know exactly what we want from them and they produce it. I cannot wait to see where they it next, they always seem to outdo themselves every time.

Debby Ryan is a superb actress and the episode was great to watch. If they put some slap stick comedy it would be hillarious.
