Carrie Underwood Gives Back To Her Hometown Schools

We all know the holidays are a time to give back to those in need in our communities, and this past holiday season, country superstar Carrie Underwood gave back to the schools in her hometown.
She gave $350,000 to the C.A.T.S. foundation which in turn donated those dollars to four local public schools including Marshall Elementary, Checotah Middle School, Checotah High School, and Checotah Intermediate School. The funds are supposed to go for educational items like computers, musical instruments, band uniforms, and physical education equipment. The school district’s superintendent Toni Brown commended Carrie Underwood on her act of generosity. Here is what she said:
“We are so proud of Carrie and her accomplishments and we appreciate everything she has done for our students. Every student in our school will benefit from the C.A.T.S. Foundation’s generous donation.”
We all know that Carrie Underwood is one of the nicest and most-down-to-earth celebrities in Hollywood today and this is just like adding icing on the cake! I know that the kids in the schools that received the funding are probably very grateful. I love to hear stories like this about celebrities donating their money or time for causes close to home. It’s very heartwarming.

Just once , just once is all I ask of the major media…..Just one time show that there are some young people out there doing good. Just yesterday I saw Demi Lovato Public Service annoucement to help hungry children, every day it seems Mrs. Underwood is saving a puppy, painting at her old middle school, and finally Tim Tebow spreading the “Good Word” at federal prisons……Underood , Lovato, Tebow I’ll never ever give up on you. And thank you!

Total irony here Doug. This past weekend I had a dream Demi Lovato made an attempt to sing her song ” For the Love of a daughter” live one a t.v. show……..she understandly could not make it through the song……Carrie Underwood walks out and places her hand on Demi shoulder as Demi is sitting at the piano then turns and lays the song down like Elvis did that night he sang “If I can Dream” on NBC in 1968…..

If Demi and Carrie did a duet Elvis would come back from his home and tip his hat to the ladies.
