Carolina Herrera To Release Kristen Stewart’s Wedding Dress Robert Pattinson Not Included

Kristen Stewart’s wedding dress in Breaking Dawn Part 1 surprised many and even caused envy. With knock-off designers cashing in as soon as the movie premiered, we all figured that we would not hear anymore about it. Wrong. Designer Carolina Herrera has confirmed that she will be hand producing more of these lovely gowns for the fans, but they do come at a heft price-$35,000 a pop. Here is what the mini “press release” had to say regarding the news.

Twilight fans can’t marry Edward Cullen, unfortunately, but they can look like Bella Swan when walking down the aisle. Designer Carolina Herrera recently announced that the dress she created for the Breaking Dawn wedding will be reproduced, and according to instyle.com, it’ll be available at her New York, Los Angeles, Bal Harbour, and Dallas boutiques.

It won’t be so easy to get the gown, though; Herrera plans to make every crepe satin and French Chantilly lace dress by hand, so they’ll each come with a hefty price tag of $35,000.

Not that it’s an unreasonable price, though; Herrera, who’s made wedding gowns for celebs like Christina Hendricks and regularly clothes Renée Zellweger, spent six months creating the Breaking Dawn gown. “It had to be magical,” she said at the film’s premiere. I still have all the sketches and everything because it was so special.”

If you want that magic without the bank-breaking price, check out Alfred Angelo’s replica — the $799 gown looks similar to the dress Kristen Stewart wears in the wedding, and features the same cut-out back and lace embellishments

I loved the dress as much as the next person did, but I will admit that a knock off would be a bargain. Also, it just seems sort of a desperate plea from her to cash in on Twilight and that is pretty sad. As a big time designer, she certainly does not need to do this and it sort of cheapens her line in my eyes.

How do you feel about this news? Would you buy the real or knock off? I would most likely buy the knock off and use the money that I saved for rest of the wedding. However, I will say that this dress will likely do well in terms of sales. You know that their will be people jumping to buy the dress.
