Breaking Dawn Composer Opens Up About Robert Pattinson – Is R-Patz Professional?

The Sag Harbor Express interviewed Breaking Dawn Part 2‘s composer Carter Burwell. He talked about how it is like writing music for the movie, and how it was different for this one. He confirms that Robert Pattinson played the piano and did a duet with Mackenzie Foy. Here is what he had to say about working with Rob and on this movie.

Sag Habor: At what point in the filming process will you come onboard?

Carter: Generally, I don’t actually write anything until a film has actually been shot. But, there are some exceptions. In the movie I’m working on right now, which is “Breaking Dawn: Part II,” they needed Rob Pattinson and the actress who plays his daughter to play piano onscreen. I had to write this duet before they shot the film so they could actually learn the parts. Rob is a musician, so he prides himself on working out the fingering for these correctly.

I am so pleased to hear that Rob has taken this so seriously. In some ways I think of him more as a musician than an actor. He seems to be very careful with his music, and while he is, also that way with acting I think music is more of his passion than acting.

Are you excited to see the scene where he and Mackenzie play the piano? I am curious as to see how those two worked together. With his level of experience and the fact that he worked with a child, it should make for some very interesting scenes. However, I do want add that I am sure they handled it in a very professional manner. After all, Rob has been in some pretty big movies and has been acting for a while.
