Top Choices For Holiday Gifts From Lady Gaga’s Workshop At Barney’s
Gaga’s Workshop has unusual retail surroundings, Christmas windows, a Gaga website, and exclusive products created in collaboration with Lady Gaga, Nicola Formichetti, artists, Eli Sudbrack and Christophe Hamaide Pierson, and Barneys creative director, Dennis Freedman. Gaga’s Workshop will donate 25% of sales of all items to Born This Way Foundation. The foundation concentrates on confidence, being healthy, anti-bullying, and helping with careers.
Lady Gaga’s top holiday picks are a magnetic Dress-up Set for $65, “Telephone” Face Cookie by Eleni’s for $15, Composition Books for $20, Roald Dahl’s Special Edition Book for $75, Hair Bows for $85, “Diamond” Tea Cup for $65, Gaga Press-on Nails for $45, Little Monsters Sets for $58, Gaga Motorcycle Ornament for $25, Gaga Workshop T-shirts for $38 to $58, and a Gaga Tote bag for $38. These items will be sold at Barneys Madison Avenue Flagship Store and some will be sold at Barneys New York Stores nationwide.
I think the items are too expensive. I ask you, a composition book sold for $20, Press-on Nails for $45, and t-shirts for $38 to $58? I don’t think putting an artistic label on items justifies high prices. Why does only 25% of sales get donated? Shouldn’t it be more?
