Today’s Show Gift Guide for 2011 Holiday Season Includes Nintendo 3DS & iPad

Dec - 13 2011 | Sarah Peel | no comments

Today had an interesting segment about what to buy for everyone on your holiday shopping list. They had 4 experts for each of the categories, and each expert shows trendy gifts that thousands of people want this year, such as a faux fur throws, puff jackets, and Fijits. As usual though, they have the basics like kids, women, and men. But they also cover for those extra gifts that we all have to get each year. You will find the video down below, which includes the Nintendo 3DS and uDraw Tablet.

While I do like gift guides, I do find them pointless for a lot of people. They typically do not have typical ideas for real people. Like a sequin sweater. While that might work for a party, you likely won’t get much use out of it. However, at least the toys seem to be practical and something that kids will likely get this year. I do love the whole Fijit idea. The toy is so cute and reminds me of the Furby craze that took place about 10+ years ago.

How do you feel about this shopping guide? I agree with some of the ideas, but the ones listed for kids seem to be closest to reality. On a bright note, I am going to say that I am happy to see that Nintendo’s 3DS is on it. It looks like they are slowly gaining back some of their fame that they lost after the release. I do think that this year we will see a spike in console based sales, but also things like uDraw. I will say that I am surprised that they did not show any actual video games, though.
