Nintendo 3DS Breaks Out of Slump in Japan

Nintendo has some more good news to report regarding their 3DS console. It is reported that this past weekend Dec 09 to the 11th has been their biggest weekend yet for the console in Japan. They just jumped over the 300,000 sold thanks to the big releases of Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario Land. This has effectively burst their slump now. It is safe to expect that sales in the US should catch up soon as well, due to those same games and the holiday season.

I know that a lot of people have been upset with those who claimed that Nintendo was not doing so well, but it appears that is now old news. They have found success with their console and it should stay doing that well until the next Wii generation comes out. It just seems that Nintendo needed a different way to market it and for those who were concerned to see that the console seems safer now that it has been out for a while. That should ease some fears, but I also think that the lack of good games when it first came out hurt them the most.

Are you happy to see that they finally have some good news to report? It is nice to see that they have picked up in sales. I think time was truly a testament for their console. However, I will say that I am still not sold on the whole 3D craze for anything. And it is good to see that they did sort step away from that angle and it looks like it worked in their favor.
