If you are a fan of Lucas Cruikshank and his character of Fred, you will be happy to know that they are taking it to cartoons. They just released the pilot episode of It’s Fred, which is a Youtube exclusive. The series will have 9 episodes, with a new one airing each Thursday. The series will re-air the classics of Fred, with the first one being called “FRED Gets Adopted”. You will find the actual first episode in the video below. However, if you want to see more of Lucas you will be glad to know that he is working on a pilot for a new series with Nickelodeon. Here is what Lucas had to say.

It’s amazing how many different formats Fred has been translated into,We’ve done the videos, two movies, an album, a joke book, and now an animated series. I’m just excited to see how the fans react to the animation

I am a fan of Fred, but I am starting to think that this might be the end of his live action web series. While I am just guessing, I don’t see why they would need a mini series of animated shorts for a show that keeps going on. He might be in the works of making more movies with the character, but I doubt that there is much life in the original edition of the series that we know, much like what happened to Mr. Bean.

Are you excited for the animated series? I am, but I do wish that we could find out about the future of the actual web series. It just seems like this brings up a lot of questions and makes it seem like we will never see anymore of Fred outside of the animated series. I am hoping that I am wrong, but I am not holding my breathe on it. Anyways, here is the official first episode.
