Hunger Games Companion Books Not Written By Suzanne Collins

We brought you news about The Hunger Games companion books coming out next year and now we have more news about them. All 3 books are not written by Suzanne Collins or at least they are not listing her as the author. The World of The Hunger Games and The Hunger Games Illustrated Movie Companion have listed Kate Egan as the writer, which makes sense since she was Suzanne’s editor. The Hunger Games Tribute Guide was written by Emily Seife.

I am not sure why Suzanne hasn’t had much to do with the new books, but I think her own series will likely still outshine the 3 companion books. I personally would love to see her write a new book or maybe a prequel to the series, but I also realize that she is extremely busy with the upcoming movie that she likely does not have the time for it. Maybe in the future.

How do you feel about her not writing these books? Will that take away from them or help the new companion books? I think that it sort of makes them less special, but beyond that, I don’t see how it will hurt the series. I do expect that they will sell well and even help re-boost the actual series sales. So I suppose life will move on, even if fans find themselves sad about this news.
