First Official Poster for The Hunger Games – Jennifer Lawrence & Josh Hutcherson

We finally get to see the first real poster (not to be confused with the character posters) for The Hunger Games, which features Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss and Josh Hutcherson as Peeta. It shows Katniss looking at the multi-screens showing off her upcoming battle or at least that is what it looks like to me, when she first enters the arena. Or it could be just a randomly done poster that isn’t really a scene in the movie – much like Harry Potter’s and Twilight’s.They also have a tag line that says the following.

The World Will be Watching

It looks like they are making sure that fans sort of know what the movie will be about. I love the fact that Katniss’ face seems so concerned. It shows that Jennifer has the character down pat and I am excited to see how else the movie will turn out. It looks more than promising now then it ever did before, despite it already was looking good. I am hoping that we will get to see some clips soon enough, but I figure that will happen next month at the earliest.

How do you like the poster? It is interesting poster, even if it doesn’t follow the book to the T as some have pointed at, but most movie posters are not based upon any actual scenes, or at least the ones that I have seen, so I am not too worried about it. I think that I am that much more excited for the movie now, since the poster makes it that much more real.
