Demi Lovato Named As Breakout Star of 2011

Ryan Seacrest has just released his list of what he considers to be the top 10 breakout stars of 2011. And who he picked for number 1 makes perfect sense! Demi Lovato has come back and made a huge splash this year, which we all know why. But she has proven herself to be stronger that ever. However, she was not the only star listed on Ryan’s list. While you can go on their website and read why they picked these stars, I will be sharing the list in the order of 1 to 10.

1: Demi Lovato
2: Nicki Minaj
3: Karmin
4: David Guetta
5: The Band Perry
6: Jessie J
7: Foster the People
8: Hot Chelle Rae
9: Big Time Rush
10: Ellie Goulding

Not a bad list, but I do think that some of the stars are not exactly break out. Yes, I know that Demi hasn’t just come out, but since this is her post-Disney break out and I do believe that it counts. But those like Jessie J, Foster the People and Hot Chelle Rae are breakout artist of this year. Nicki Minaj also counts since her single “Super Bass” is what made her so popular. I personally would think that they would have a few others like Cody Simpson, but nope they did not. Still, I am pretty pleased with the list.

Do you think that Demi deserves to be number 1 or who is your own personal break out list of 2011 for music? I think Ryan’s list sums it up; even if most of the singers listed, I am not crazy about. I am just glad to see that Demi is getting the love that she needs. Her hard work to get to this point and to be able to jump back into the music business as soon as she did is amazing. Her return reminds me a lot of Britney Spears, but I will say that I do think Demi came back stronger than ever before. While Britney sort of returned back to her previous level of strength.
