The National Advertising Division of the Council of Business Bureaus Claims recently made Proctor & Gamble take down an ad campaign featuring country megastar Taylor Swift. The reason for this? The photos of the star were apparently modified by digital means and was considered dishonest advertising. Taylor is not blamed for this problem.

I think honesty in advertising is a smart idea but this is nothing new. Advertisers have been using various tricks for years to hook customers and make them want to buy the product or service. I know Covergirl and Proctor & Gamble are not the only companies who do this, and it’s only a matter of time that thee will be more big companies in hot water for false advertising.

What do you think of the ad(see above) with Taylor Swift? Do you think this might make her drop her Covergirl spokesmodel gig? Did this ad gaffe make you less likely to purchase the brand in the future? Personally, I still like Covergirl and I will continue to use their products. Anyway, it seems that most magazines and catalogs use Photoshop to digitally change or enhance photos. It’s going to take a lot more than altered photos to get me to stop using a brand I love!

Well, in my opinion, something is wrong, and it is not the size of the model eyelashes, because if they were digital modified they did a poor job, cause I still can not see them…
