YouTube Now Offers Disney Movies For Rent

YouTube has come a long way from the days of being just a video-uploading social network to real competition for Netflix. In more recent news, Disney has partnered with YouTube to offer a wide selection of family-friendly movie rentals including Winnie the Pooh, Cars 2, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and more. The movies start at $1.99 per rental and will remain available for view for up to 48 hours.

This isn’t the first time YouTube has joined forces with a big movie company in order to offer more viewing options, they currently have films from Lionsgate, Sony, Warner Brothers, and Universal.

I think it’s a good idea to add more movies to their selection! My only qualms is that I wished it was more like Netflix where they have a fixed monthly fee and unlimited streaming. I know a lot of people are really knocking Netflix, but I still think that they’re currently the best deal for movie fans who want to stream. I hope they eventually offer streaming packages for movie fans on a budget. What do you think of this? Do you watch movies on YouTube? Are you going to stream Disney movies from YouTube?
