Will Hunger Games Be The New Twilight?

As the Twilight franchise begins to bow its head ready to step from the light, several studios are scrambling to fill a role left by that void.  There is a new franchise potentially looming as the push for the Hunger Games begin.

Next November we will see the final Twilight film grace the screen then the saga of Twi-hards will be at a close.  There are several movies being prepared for the void Twilight will leave, but the most talked about and most buzzed about is the Hunger Games.  A new trailer, which you can catch below offers more to the teaser and gives the audience something more relating to take with them.  Based on the best selling novels about a dystopian future/former U.S. where young people must represent their districts in mortal combat to secure necessities like food.  It has a darker tone then the Twilight saga and many are beginning to whisper that Katniss will soon be stealing Bella’s crown.

Warm Bodies is Isaac Marion’s debut novel focuses on a teen zombie named R who wanders a post-apocalyptic landscape, eating the brains of survivors.  When he consumes one victim’s mind and absorbs the memories of that person’s girlfriend, R falls in love with her himself and heads out in search of her. Filming has begun on this project.  Mortal Instruments is a fantasy series that is a prime candidate to take over for “Twilight” with its melodramatic saga of Clary, a young girl who becomes part of a secret league that battles demons.  What series do think is prime to take over for Twilight?  Is there a series that can oust Twilight’s poularity?
