The Muppets Scrapped Miss Piggy Katy Perry Parody

The Muppet Movies are about to break it big again and the Jason Segal knows it. He recently talked about some of the ideas they had and how they came with them to MTV News. He hinted at Miss Piggy becoming a pop diva like Katy Perry, but also said that the old series kept them in line. You can hear the whole interview down below.

I am happy to hear that hey had so much fun with it. I do think that will be reflected in the movie, so we will see a bit of that in it. However, talking about what ideas they scratched does not help them. If it won’t be there, then why talk about it? It seems like an unfair teasing of what it could have been. While I am sure that Jason doesn’t mean for that to be the case, I really see no logic in that train of thought. Unless they are planning that for the DVD release, which if that is the case they could have talked about that as the DVD release becomes closer.

Are you happy with the way it sounds like it came out? I cannot really say, but I do have high hopes for it. I am sure that it will be fun for the whole family and allow kids to enjoy something that their own parents liked. It will be a fun flash back, but I am not sure if it can replace the original that we all know and love.
