The Muppets Might Host The Oscars

The Muppets might host the upcoming Oscars! There are approximately 36,000 people who have campaigned on Twitter and Facebook for the Muppets to host the Oscars. Two days after Eddie Murphy resigned from hosting the 84th Academy Awards, a Twitter account @Muppet Oscars and Facebook, “The Muppets Should Host the 2012 Oscars” gained stimulus. These movements go back to before Murphy was chosen to host the Oscars. The movement has grown in popularity. In a few hours, the two accounts had thousands of followers join up.

Because of the new movie, the Muppets have made a comeback and generated lots of enthusiasm from the test audience. Kermit was even featured on the cover of “Entertainment Weekly”. Disney does own both the Muppets and ABC, the network that broadcasts the Oscars. A report from “Variety” says a source next to the show says the Muppets won’t be the hosts. No one will know who the hosts will be until a host is hired for the Oscars. “The Muppets” will be released to theaters on November 23rd.

The Muppets would be delightful hosts for the 84th Academy Awards. They are humerous and entertaining. They most likely would relieve the tedium of some of the Oscar nominations and acceptance speeches. The Muppets would lighten up the Oscars and more people would tune in to the awards.
