Taylor Swift Duet With Goo Goo Dolls- Iris
Taylor Swift has been working hard on her tour and she finally wrapped it up with a huge concert. As part of her finale show, she had a few surprises for her fans and one of those was doing a duet of a commonly known 90s song. She brought Goo Goo Dolls on stage and sang with them their hit “Iris”. You will be able to see Taylor making the song work for her and her fans in the video below.
This past tour, I really feel like we saw Taylor grow as a singer. She is taking chances and doing a lot of covers outside of her genre. It is a nice change of pace, but it is also something that might make some fans unhappy. Despite of that risk we have seen her do so well that she could easily leave country music behind. She has the vocals for so many types of music. It is hard to see why she has limited herself for so long. Hopefully with her upcoming album we will see more of this other side.
How do you feel about Taylor expanding her genre? I like it, I think it helps make her a diverse singer and that will be good for her career. She has proven herself time and time again that she can really sing. I don’t think there is a genre of music that she cannot thrive in. She has that extremely rare gift of complete musical talent. It is no wonder why she is one of the best selling singers out there right now.
