Nickelodoeon Spongebob Squarepants Gang To Tweet About Road Trip

Spongebob Squarepants is one cartoon that has also felt more real than cartoon like. Now we get to experience that even greater with the “Runaway Road Trip“. Nickelodeon has decided that fans also need Twitter updates from their favorite characters. That means all of this week; Spongebob, Sandy, Mr. Krabs and rest of gang can keep you updated on how their trip goes.

I love this idea and I will be shocked if they do not adopt this as part of their regular interaction. It does make watching TV that much more lively, but it also keeps things in perspective. They see things in a way that viewers might not know or at least that want to share that knowledge with them. It was a smart move for them and I am sure the cast of the show is excited to finally interact with them. They always seem to be so disconnected from the fans. This will be a nice change, even if the actors have to still play their roles on Twitter.

How do you feel about your favorites providing real time updates via Twitter? I love the fact that it allows fans to interact with the show. It will be good for the writers and cast to see their input. In addition, it gives them all a chance to really be involved in a way and maybe provide feedback in a backwards sort of manner. I am sure they are open to that.
