New Promo Stills From Pixar’s Brave

Brave may not open until June 22, 2012, but Pixar is making sure to give it a head start in promotion. We have new photo stills from the actual movie. The movie, which is about Merida who is a young girl who refuses to be what tradition, places her to be. However, she stirs up some trouble that she did not intend to do in the first place. Now it is up to her to save the world and her loved ones from the disaster that she started. However, time is short and it requires Merida to be brave and bold.

Pixar seems to have picked a good story to tell. It certainly is different, yet still fits in with Disney’s Tangled kind of twist. I do think that are trying to step away from the traditional fairy tales we all know. It is a good start, but I also know that so many of us miss the old-fashioned stories that we all grew up with. We need a few of those kinds as well. Disney needs to keep things balanced and in check. Don’t do one and leave the other out. They have enough room to do all kinds of movies and both do have a market out there, they just have to find it in their hearts to do what their older fans love as well.

Are you excited for Brave? I like the concept and I am sure that it will do its job of entertaining. However, as a collective whole for Pixar, I am starting to question their direction. I am not sure if they even know who they are anymore. It seems that Disney is doing all of their thinking as of late and I am not sure if that is what works best for them at this point or not.
