Michelle Trachtenberg Heading Back To Gossip Girl

Fans of Georgina Sparks from the hit CW show Gossip Girl played by Michelle Trachtenberg will have a reason to celebrate.  Known as the Wicked Witch of the Upper East Side will be coming back to Gossip Girl for a long term arc.

TV Line has reported that the actress will be returning to the series for a significant arc starting with the series 100th episode.  The 100th episode is scheduled to air in early 2012.  Executive Producer Josh Safran commented that Michelle’s story arc is unlike anything that she has done before on the show.  She will of course still be Georgina and all that her character implies on the show, but there may be a new direction that her character will go in.  It is likely that Trachtenburg’s arc will likely involve something to do with Charlie/Ivy (Kaylee DeFer) and Serena (Blake Lively) given their past with each other.

Rumors have been swirling that the arc may even involve Georgina and Dan patching up their sizable differences and finally make a go of their relationship.  Currently Gossip Girl is in it’s fifth season, no word has been confirmed yet as to whether it will be green lit for a sixth season.  What do you think of Georgina coming back?
