LEGO Introduces Holiday Themed Star Wars Website
LEGO Systems is releasing www.legoSantaYoda.com which is a holiday-themed LEGO Star Wars micro site. It has stop-motion animation, e-greetings, a weekly contest, holiday-themed polls, and a wish list of the hottest LEGO Star Wars products.Starting Tuesday, November 22, 2011 through December 24, 2011, LEGO Systems will give one LEGO toy to the U.S. Marines Corps’ Toys for Tots in return for each LEGO Star Wars e-greeting shared up to one million toys.
To start countdown, thousands of San Francisco residents and tourists aided LEGO Master Builders to make the biggest LEGO Santa Yoda this past weekend. The LEGO Santa Yoda is 12 feet tall with an ear span of 10 feet. The LEGO Santa Yoda is beside the Union Square ice rink and weighs almost 4,000 pounds. “Inspired by the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, we’re excited to encourage anyone who loves LEGO or Star Wars to spread holiday cheer for such a timely and deserving organization,” said Michael McNally, brand relations director, LEGO Systems.
Especially in these times, it is good to know that big companies are giving back to others. People need to know that not every big company is all about greed. That there are some people who will help out.

Weekly winners will be selected and one grand prize winner will receive a one-of-a-kind, custom 2-foot tall LEGO Santa Yoda minifigure model, made completely out of LEGO bricks by a LEGO Master Builder.
