Glee’s Lea Michele Listed As One of the Women of the Year

Glamour magazine released their list of Women of the Year and a star from Glee is included. Lea Michele was named as of one of this year’s ladies included. She has talked earlier this year about being told she would never make it and also the photo controversy. Now she seems to have come out stronger than ever now. Jennifer Lopez is the listed as the year’s biggest winner of the title. Here is what Lea had to say about her fellow females.

Women in powerful positions get labeled with the D word, but you have to use your diva-ness for good as a way to show your strengths.

I am not a fan of her show, but I am glad to see that she was included. It was great that she came out and gave hope to other girls who feel like they will never make it since they are not a Barbie doll copycat. She has done a huge service and I hope others will realize that there is so much more to you than that. On the flip side, Jennifer also deserves her place for her comeback.

How do you feel about Lea’s comments? I think she hit it right on the head. Being a diva is not a bad thing per se, but it can be used for the bad. She knows that she can use it for her benefit and we all should do that. I think she has earned her place in being a respectable role model for young girls, or at least in my opinion she has.
