Zombie Tea Party 5 – Jessie Review with Debby Ryan
Jessie new episode “Zombie Tea Party 5” was all about trouble. Luke was in competition with another kid, but his nanny Jessie came in and embarrassed him. He then takes it back in own hands and makes a bet with the bully for a paintball fight. However, he quickly learns that the kid has an older brother. Thus he must find a partner and he does not want Jessie to help him. So he recruits his brother Ravi to help him, but quickly learns that he does need Jessie instead. Meanwhile Zuri wants Emma to attend her tea party, but Emma chooses to attend a fashion show instead. Zuri is stuck with Bertram, whom she thinks sucks at the party. However, Emma is dumped and then decides to attend the tea party to make up with her younger sister.
Once again, this show provided us laughter but it also had a message. The fact that they taught that despite a caregiver’s job is to keep you safe, you still need those people around you. It is a good message that most kids can relate to at one point or another. The big bonus is how they were able to make it funny. The fact that they made Jessie baby Luke in a humorous way is a great bonus. It helped create some “texture” for the show. I also loved how Jessie handled it, but then again her character is pretty amazing if I do have to say for myself. She reminds me a lot of Fran Drescher from the old 90s show The Nanny. It is a clever show and best of all it is the perfect family one. I am hoping that this show will last for a long time, since it is one of those rare gems. Why some might say that it copies a past show a bit closely, we can say that at least that they did make it more modern and youthful.
I personally would love to talk to the writers of the show and find out their process. They keep fresh and know how to pack a whole lot of a punch in the plots. Not many shows do that and that really sucks. However, they manage to do that and I love them for it. I can honestly say that I am a fan of every episode that I have seen. I personally think that Zuri, Ravi, Jessie, and of course, Mr. Kipling are the real stars of the show. With that being said, I am still a fan of rest of the cast, but those are the ones that stand out in my mind. Who are your favorites on the show?
