Used Karma – Disney Channel Jessie Review With Debby Ryan

In this week’s episode of Jessie, we saw a Halloween theme. “Used Karma” shows us Jessie being invited by Tony for a lunch. Jessie and Emma are both are sure that he likes her. This leads Emma to be excited and Jessie to be worried about their friendship being ruined. However, Emma wants them to date and tries to convince Jessie to dress up for it. Meanwhile Luke starts to prank Ravi, who is fed up with him for the pranks. So he takes matters to his own hands and starts to prank him. It seems like the elements agree with him and everything does go bad for Luke. This causes him to believe that Ravi is right and he wants that to change. Ravi takes advantage of it and makes Luke suffer. Meanwhile Jessie has her own issues to worry about and does not see what is going on between the two boys.

She tries to act as if she is just one of the guys, but it seems to fail. Tony still appears to be attracted to Jessie. This causes for her to freak out when he leans in on her. She quickly finds out that this is not the case! He was only trying to be her “friend”, which did not go well. This causes her to feel bad and awkward and so she leave so her mind taken off it. Later on, she finds Luke locked outside in the rain to be cleansed of bad karma. She saves him and sets Ravi straight for all the abuse he does to Luke. However, she also tells him that he can tell her when Luke is being a pain. He agrees and makes up with Luke who also makes an apology to him. It ends well and everything appears to go back to normal for Jessie and her charges.

I enjoyed this episode as much as I enjoyed the last. While I do think that Zuri was overlooked in this episode, it was still full of fun. Like she was only seen in supporting parts, nothing that really starred her. However, she did keep the humor up. Like when she turned to Emily after seeing what Jessie was going to wear on her date. I do wonder what made them decide to have a prank filled episode air so early on? Not that it was bad, but I would think closer to the actual date would make more sense.

Did you enjoy the episode for this week? I did, but I do hope they start writing it where all of the characters get a chance to shine in each episode. Other than that, I do actually like the episode and cannot wait to see what they come up with next.
