“The Muppets” Soundtrack Track List Unveiled

Disney is gearing up for the return of the Muppets, with their upcoming movie called The Muppets. Of course, that also means that they are releasing a soundtrack for it. While it won’t come out until November 21st, they did release the official track list. You can see that they kept the typical Disney stars away from this one. Here is the official list if you do want to see who made it.

“The Muppet Show Theme” – The Muppets
“Life’s a Happy Song” – Jason Segel, Amy Adams and Walter
“Pictures in My Head” – Kermit and The Muppets
“Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard” – Paul Simon
“Rainbow Connection” – The Moopets
“We Built This City” – Starship
“Me Party” – Amy Adams and Miss Piggy
“Let’s Talk About Me” – Chris Cooper
“Man or Muppet” – Jason Segel and Walter
“Smells Like Teen Spirit” – The Muppets Barbershop Quartet
“Forget You” – Camilla and The Chickens
“Rainbow Connection” – The Muppets
“The Whistling Caruso” – Andrew Bird
“Life’s a Happy Song” – Finale Entire Cast
“Mahna Mahna” – Mahna Mahna and The Two Snowths

I am so happy they have the classic Muppet song “Mahna Mahna” on it. That will really help make the movie seem like a classic Muppet show. I was worried that Disney might take away the old feel of when Jim Henson still ran it. However, it seems like they are the legacy that he created and that pleases me. The new generation deserves a chance to enjoy and love the Muppets.

Do you approve of the soundtrack? I am not crazy about most soundtracks, but I am delighted to see that sine classics are included. This might be the saving grace for it to be successful with long time Muppet fans. I personally cannot wait to see it even more now.
