Taylor Swift Writing For New Music For New Album

It has almost been a year since Taylor Swift released her last album, leaving many to wonder when she will be working on a new one. She answered that question with her interview with The New Yorker. She has been working on writing new songs, with an album due sometime next year. She stated that she this album will have a more sad tone than her previous work. Here is what she had to say exactly about the new direction.

It should be an interesting sound coming from her. I wonder how country it will be? I cannot picture her singing seriously sad country songs. That does not mean she would not do that, but it just does not seem like her. In the mean time, we can at least look forward to her live DVD and CD combo.

How do you feel about this new direction she is taking her music? I am curious to find out what it will be like. I get the feeling that it will be a more pop like album or at least more gritty. We are used to her singing about love and crushes, while I understand that she has grown up I do not want her to lose that cheery side forever.
