Telling Truth & Catching Cheaters – RINGER review

Ringer’s Bridget has a new issue to deal with after telling the truth to Gemma.  In this week’s episode, called “A Whole New Kind of B!+ch,” Gemma leaves the party after Bridget’s confession, which she does not believe. Her departure upsets Henry and Bridget, but they cannot seem to reach her.  Alex finds Gemma at home watching some old videos of the four; she noticed that Siobhan has a scar on her wrist. When Gemma meets Bridget next, she that Bridget is indeed who she claims to be. This only makes Gemma that much more angry, but Bridget tries to calm her down and let her know that even she did not know the real Siobhan. This does not go well, and even though Bridget pleads with Gemma not to say anything, Gemma leaves and tells her that she may not stay quiet on the situation.

Later on, Gemma asks Bridget to sleep with Henry so she can catch them and file for divorce, or else she would will tell everyone who Bridget really is. This upsets Bridget and causes her to seek even more help from the anti-drug program she found in NYC. She finally decides against Gemma’s request. However, Bridget does tell Henry the truth, and it makes him angry. Gemma then confronts Bridget when she did not show up and wants to tell Andrew about the real Siobhan and her twin. Bridget talks some sense into her. Gemma decides to go home, only to call Andrew for help, crying. When Andrew shows up at their home, Henry won’t allow him in, and it appears that Gemma is hurt.

All the while Juliet is still acting out and blaming Siobhan for it. It turns out that Siobhan was the other woman, and Juliet hated her for it. Bridget tries to make amends and admits that what happened was wrong. It seems to improve their relationship for the time being. This also seems to be a source of relief for Andrew and Siobhan, as well. However, he does find out Bridget has been attending Narcotics Anonymous, and later Juliet follows and blabs. Bridget was able to cover her tracks, despite finding a new “sponsor,” who seems off.

I really enjoyed this episode. It really gives us an inside look at Henry and Gemma. We finally got to know more about them, and we also got to hear some more of Siobhan’s hidden past. It adds some depth and shows us just how bad Bridget’s twin really is. I already am dying to know what happened to Gemma and everybody else involved. However, I doubt next week will easily top this last episode, so I’m just hoping for an equally good installment!
