“Puss in Boots” lead its way to the top of the weekend charts, earning $34 million reports Hollywood.com. Last weekend ‘s biggest film, “Paranormal Activity 3″ earned another $18.5 million this past weekend. ” Paranormal Activity 3″ is said to be the best horror story ever debuting.

The science fiction movie, ” In Time” earned $12 million. It came in third place. “Footloose” came in fourth place earning $5.4 million. “The Rum Diary ‘” with Johnny Depp came in at fifth place. It was the smallest premiere bringing in $5 million. “Real Steel” was in sixth place with $4.7 million. “The Three Musketeers” was in seventh place with $3.5 million. “The Ides of March” was number eight with $2.7 million, “Moneyball” came in at ninth place with $ 2.4 million, and “Courageous” was in tenth place with $1.8 million.

“Puss in Boots” did the best this weekend because it is a charming and family oriented film. “Paranormal Activity 3″ came in second because people like to be scared. I was surprised the “Three Musketeers” didn’t do better at the box office. The story is a good story. “Courageous” may need a longer run at the theater to gain a bigger audience. The other top drawing movies don’t sound any better than just ordinary.
